A little about me:
I am here to serve as a confidante and help you navigate through your challenges. In this space, I aim to provide a safe and comfortable space that is a judgement free zone. I believe that through use of therapeutic techniques and an interactive/collaborative space allows you to explore, identify, and reshape your new narrative. I am here to assist you in the rebuilding process of your own story.
In my role as a therapist, I believe in the collaborative nature of exploring and tackling the challenges you want to face, while also being direct enough to help challenge you.
With my direct and collaborative approach, I tend to use techniques stemming from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a mix of other approaches. I don’t feel that one form of therapy is what is helpful for ALL clients and will vary my approach based on your needs. One thing I will do with you though is to keep you accountable. I will be here in your corner to help guide you and root for you as you battle through struggles, but I need you to do the work outside of the “session field of play.”
Prior to working in this field, I worked as a personal trainer and exercise physiologist. I love to incorporate and build a physical/emotional routine to benefit your well-being to help aid in reduction of current symptoms. This can include a range of work on sleep management, incorporating walks in the morning, or trying out a new art class, etc. We will collaborate to build a routine that works for you, starting off with a pace that is comfortable. I do this because I truly believe the mind and body work together to help promote a sense of holistic wellness and peace for individuals.
