A little about me:
I have worked with relationships since 2009, working 10 years in early childhood education as a preschool teacher and director, supporting young children and their families in the adjustment that is the first five years of life and the changes this brings to a family system.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development, helping me to understand life at all stages and the challenges and joys each chapter brings. I advanced my work with people in 2018 when I pivoted to Marriage and Family Therapy, working in a variety of non profit and school based settings before joining the Brown Therapy Group in 2020, going from associate to licensed clinician in 2022 and most recently Supervisor in 2024.
In each experience, I have enjoyed being a witness as well as supporter and at times expert and mentor to the people I have worked with, helping them to identify, highlight and utilize their natural strengths and characteristics to feel and become an expert in their own lives. I pull from the use of metaphors and previously shared experiences to remind Clients that they have the wisdom within them to achieve what they need. I also work to help them find new resources and wisdom to propel them further in life towards any future goals.
I utilize an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities, ensuring that each Client is provided tools that speak the language that best resonates with them. Therapy is active work, and I find myself being an accountability coach to ensure that they do not feel alone in the changes they seek in our time together.
